Carthage Activities Board
In college I served as the president of my college's Activities Executive Board as well as the director of promotions. As a part of that board I have attended national conferences in Boston, MA and St. Louis, MO where we met with many bands, comedians, novelty acts, agencies and service providers and decided what we wanted to bring to school this year. I advertised shows throughout school and the attendance was very successful. I also took care of riders, set up dressing rooms and ran sound check. In the Fall of 2011 I planned and executed freshman orientation events and move in week event which included booking acts, creating promotional giveaway merchandise and advertisements such as posters, emails and Facebook events. Last, I helped run a concert for Safety Suit and The Script at Carthage where I worked logistics, stage build and strike, rider and dressing room shopping and set up, and ticket taking. I have also worked on concerts for Jason Derulo and 30 Seconds to Mars.
Velocity Consulting is a full-service marketing agency run entirely by Carthage College students. The organization was created in 2010 to give students the opportunity to apply what they learn in the classroom in a meaningful way by giving them real-life work experience before leaving college. It is the first organization of its kind in the United States. You can watch a video about my experience with Velocity Consulting.
"I worked with Stephanie at Velocity Consulting, LLC, and could not have asked to for a better person to work with. Stephanie has an incredible work ethic accompanied by an enthusiasm for her work that is unrivaled by anyone I've ever worked with. She works to hard to make sure that every piece of work she completes is done to the best of her ability, and it always exceeds any previous expectations for the project. Aside from these wonderful qualities, Stephanie completes everything on time, often early, allowing for plenty of time for review. Stephanie is a great asset, and any company would be lucky to have her work for them."

"Stephanie is an on top of it, savvy social media pro! She orchestrated many promotions, researched timely and interesting information to post, and helped build social media pages tremendously. She's innovative and searches for ways to make her clients stand out! I'd recommend Stephanie to anyone seeking a social media manager."
